Mindfulness is a great skill to learn, the benefits are amazing, A great way to start is with a mini medi. It’s simple, straightforward & is nothing more than finding a space for 5 minutes and focussing on your breath. Whether sitting at your desk or lying on your bed. Focus on the exhale, the inhale, your eyes can be open or closed. Beware, benefits include:
- Muscles relax
- Delivery of oxygen improves
- Lowers blood pressure
- Endorphins are released
Today’s Healthy Bite
We’ve been hearing for years the benefits of Kale, low in calories, low in fat & high in fibre.
Kale contains more calcium than milk & more iron than meat! Great in power juices but a great alternative is to make Kale chips, especially for the evening munchies, they’ll even last in an airtight container for up to a week.
- 450 g kale
- 1 tbs extra virgin olive oil
- ½ tsp crushed sea salt flakes
Wash the Kale gently under cool running water and then pat dry.
Place the Kale onto a large baking tray and drizzle with olive oil, and sea salt flakes.
Bake in the oven at around 190 for 10 mins.
